Shredded cabbage and carrots are fine on their own, but mix them with the right sauce and you have a delicious coleslaw, a.k.a. the perfect side to complement your 4th of July ribs, Memorial Day burgers, or even meatloaf if you’re cooking indoors. It’s cool, it’s refreshing, and it’s a great way to trick your kids into eating their veggies.
Pasta salad is another BBQ staple that requires the right sauce to make it stand out, especially if you’re serving it alongside ribs or porkchops with my spectacular BBQ sauce. You’ll need the best cold sauce if you want to serve pasta salad alongside the best BBQ sauce, which means you’ll need my cold sauce. And if you want to eat pasta salad on its own as a light lunch, my cold sauce will make sure your pasta salad is flavorful enough to eat all on its own and keep you satisfied all afternoon.
Alternatively, you can switch out the pasta for potatoes to make an unforgettable potato salad. Just add my cold sauce to some chopped potatoes and a few veggies and you have a potato salad that’s fit to rival any dish at your local BBQ.
Honey Mustard
Honey mustard is where it all started for me. Eating pumpernickel toast with mustard for breakfast with my grandma when I was growing up was what first opened up my palate to all the flavors a simple sauce could bring to a dish.
Then I went on to try to compete on television with my Honey Mustard Chicken, and while the judges never got a chance to try my creation, it inspired me to start this business so I could deliver great flavor straight to people’s homes, and not just on their TV.
This honey mustard is creamy and sweet with just a hint of spice. I like to use it on everything from toast to chicken, and I encourage you to do the same and try some new combinations even I haven’t thought of yet.
Seafood Sauce
What would shrimp cocktail be without the perfect cocktail sauce? My seafood sauce is a red horseradish sauce with red pepper and lemon, which makes it tangy with just enough of a kick to wake up your palate when you’re munching on seafood before the main course.
Then again, if you want seafood and cocktail sauce to make up your entire meal, there’s no shame in that either. This seafood sauce is so good, I wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to eat anything else.
Greek Sauce
Cucumber, yogurt, and dill make this Greek sauce creamy, refreshing, and just slightly tangy. It’s the perfect summer sauce, especially for a quick salad or a vegetable tray. With a little help from this Greek sauce, your friends and family will never think of vegetables the same way again.
Taco Sauce
Obviously, this is ideal for tacos, but as with all my sauces, I encourage you to experiment. This creamy sauce has lime and cilantro, and I have found it pairs particularly well with fish and cabbage, but don’t take my word for it. Try this sauce on every kind of taco (or salad) you can dream up and tell me which one you liked best.
